Position Responsibilities: 

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Finance and is responsible for the integrity of our financial statements including the timely and accurate submission of monthly results in compliance with US GAAP and is responsible for all aspects of our control environment within our Netherlands entities.  We are seeking a hands-on senior accountant with a track record of success in both business partnership and accounting that is comfortable with both US GAAP, local GAAP and management reporting and is able to drive improvements. The ideal candidate will exhibit the highest degree of ethics, a bias for action, and organizational aptitude via working seamlessly across cultures in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

-Demonstrate a strong tone at the top with respect to corporate governance, controls, accountability, and commitment to excellence.

-Responsible for financial leadership and a key steward of DFS assets. Support and embed financial processes that promote a strong internal control environment to assure the records of the company are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, Dover accounting manual, and other regulatory requirements, as applicable.

-Meet DFS and Dover Corporation reporting requirements including monthly reporting, quarterly reporting, year-end, and tax reporting..

-Oversee local execution of DFS audit program including balance sheet reviews, critical controls monitor and internal control remediation/improvements.

-Ensure compliance for timeliness and accuracy with statutory reporting requirements.

-Upholds commitment to quality through robust review and analysis.

-Action oriented with respect to continuous improvement of management reporting and a driving force of post-implementation enhancements of OneStream EPM.

-Builder of trusted relationships across the business, DFS Finance, Dover Finance (Controllership, Systems, FP&A, Internal Audit) and external auditors.

-Viewed internally and externally as relationship liaison between DFS Netherlands and Dover Business Services (shared services) and capable of driving process improvement in Accounts Receivable, including credit and collection, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.

-Able to source best practices to implement consistent accounting policy that spans commercial, operational and technical accounting

-Assist with special projects on group wide initiatives, Kaizen events, process simplification and DFS specific projects as requested.

-Provide technical support and coaching to staff as required.

Qualification Requirements:

-Minimum BS in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline.

-Chartered Accounting certification (or equivalent) required. 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Exemplary knowledge of IFRS, statutory, internal controls, and both management and financial accounting required with US GAAP desirable 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-5+ years’ experience in professional accounting with proven technical expertise in driving efficient IFRS, statutory and management reporting including operational finance 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Mix of experience in public accounting (Big 4) and industry experience (manufacturing) 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Experience with OneStream or another modern EPM/consolidation tool (desirable)

-Experience with MS Dynamics or another modern ERP (desirable)

-Experience working in multi-national environment; collaborates effectively across cultures, experience levels, etc.
