User Experience and AI is a clear focus for SAP. As the thought leaders for Application Lifecycle Management, we develop the SAP Cloud ALM platform with applications and services to support the complete application lifecycle for all SAP solutions. Furthermore, it is a key solution for the board initiatives like the AI Migration Tooling and RISE Customer Delivery Initiative.

We are looking for a talented, passionate, and creative Lead UX Designer joining our global UX Design Team, evolving our solution to the next design level, focusing on user experience along the product lifecycle while using AI technology.

In this role you will

-Lead strategic design initiatives by collaborating with product owners, developers, and fellow designers to deliver user-centric, AI-powered solutions that drive business impact and exceed customer expectations.
-Shape product direction from a design perspective, contributing to and enhancing the SAP Design System to ensure consistency and scalability.
-Own end-to-end design ownership across all phases of the design-led-development process, from research and ideation through prototyping, testing, and post-launch optimization.
-Collaborate with UX experts across SAP, leveraging cross-team knowledge to refine best practices and elevate design standards.
-Engage directly with end users and customers to gather insights, validate concepts, and co-create innovative functionality.
-Develop and test interactive prototypes to demonstrate key user flows, running rapid learning cycles to refine and improve design solutions.
-Communicate design decisions and research findings effectively to diverse stakeholders, including engineers, managers, and customers.
-Staying updated with the latest in AI advancements, user experience trends, and tools, and adapting designs to meet evolving user needs and technological capabilities.
 

What you bring

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Product Design, User Experience Design or other related fields.
-3-5years of professional experience in application or system design for software solutions, as well as a track record of shipping high quality software products.
-You should be proficient with one of the industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Mural, Sketch, etc.
-Familiarity with SAP Fiori design system and guidelines.
-Preferred, experienced in user research methodologies including generative and evaluative methods and how user research at different stages of the product development cycle.
-Excellent skills in visualizing and communicating your concepts and ideas.
-Experiences with AI and preferred Joule. Familiarity with the Joule platform, understanding its capabilities, and knowing how to leverage its features to enhance the user experience.
-Willingness to continuously broaden your horizon on design methodologies, technologies, upcoming trends, and business scenarios.
-Team player with very good communication skills.
-Fluency both written and spoken in German and English.
