Supporting a Young Child’s Journey

Randstad Tuition Services is seeking a compassionate and patient home tutor to provide individualised support for a young child before their transition to a specialist school later this year.

What You’ll Do:

* Build a strong and trusting relationship with the child, encouraging engagement and a love of learning.
* Utilise play-based and therapeutic techniques to support emotional and social development.
* Adapt learning strategies to meet the child’s unique needs and interests.
* Introduce academic tuition as the child gains confidence and engagement.
* Monitor progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.
* Work closely with parents/carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.

Who You Are:

* You have a passion for helping children with SEN and SEMH needs.
* You are skilled in using alternative communication styles and creative approaches to learning.
* You are patient, nurturing, and genuinely care about making a difference in a child’s life.

Essential Requirements:

* Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs.
* Experience using alternative communication styles with children.
* A patient, nurturing, and creative approach to learning.
* DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Ability to use therapeutic and play-based techniques to build engagement.

Desirable Requirements:

* BSL (British Sign Language) qualification or knowledge.
* Experience working within an educational or therapeutic setting.
* Driving License

What We Offer:

* Hours: 6 hours per week (potential increase to 15 hours based on engagement)
* Pay: GBP32 per hour
