About Experimental Digital Education Research Laboratory (Research Lab)The head of the 5-person Research Lab at the Ludovika UPS conducts pilot studies to measure the digital and traditional teaching structures in higher education using the so-called Dominek Learning Flow Questionnaire (DLFQ), which was developed over 1 year based on the head’s individual research results. In the last 1 year, the Research Lab has started to develop flow-based methodologies supported by ICT tools in the framework of a pilot classroom research. DLFQ is able to measure data on the effectiveness of teaching and learning in the classroom. The Research Lab aims to further develop the dimension of the technology-based and experiential education by conducting pilot research on the impact of digital education on student/teacher achievement and outcomes. The Research Lab will study the issues of multiple intelligences, explore the opportunities to develop creativity in the flow channel; measure the impact of artificial intelligence, augmented reality and virtual reality on student performance and classroom activities. The members of the Research Lab are continuously developing methodological models and working to improve digital competences, creativity and communication skills of teachers and students. The University offers two postdoctoral fellows the opportunity to get to know the current DLFQ, to get involved in research and measurement, and to explore new areas in measurement with the possibility of publishing their findings through research in these areas.Presentation of the projectThe flow-based pedagogical model is considered an innovative educational model based on experiences, novelty and excitement. Currently, this innovative pedagogical model based on educational research appears as a separate research area in the world for the first time, despite the fact that the key cornerstones of education are based on student/learner creativity, challenge-based tasks and student/learner engagement in the classroom. The use and integration of the so-called flow phenomenon in the lecturer’s presentation/teaching style and in the classroom can play a key role in enhancing the experience, thereby achieving the development of soft skills and various competences such as critical thinking and argumentation. The model is being applied at the LUPS, and the lessons based on the model have been measured using the DLFQ. The development of the Flow-based pedagogical model and DLFQ is also a new development in education. The aim is – along the research profile of the Research Lab (See above) – to innovate and disseminate an innovative educational content that can be applied in the field of teacher training or even communication training. It is also planned to introduce the innovative teaching model in the ISCED level of 5.5 – 7 of vocational training and higher education.RequirementsResearch Field Educational sciences » Research methodology Education Level PhD or equivalentResearch Field Psychological sciences » Psychology Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications
