Job description

Offer DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated senior post-doctoral researcher to participate in a European research project. Flash floods are extensive events rapidly arising after intense rainfall, especially in areas with rapid hydrological responses. These natural events are a particular hazard in small catchments, common to most of the river network in Mediterranean regions and islands. Climate change is increasing the frequency and magnitude of
flash floods, making associated risks more evident. The project will develop and test an innovative Integrated Multistakeholder Governance Model (IMGM) to manage flash floods and reduce the risks associated with these events, by combining prevention, adaptation and mitigation activities. The successful candidate will take part in tasks linked to this governance model and multistakeholder engagement.
