An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy communications team as we work to deliver the university’s ambitious strategy to be the best modern university in the UK by 2030. 

You will lead our PR, Social Media and Internal Communications teams and will be responsible for creating and showing the value of communications & engagement plans. You will work to align our activities with university priorities and values to deliver communications with real impact. 

Working closely with the Head of Communications and Engagement and senior leaders across the university, you will take our staff and student engagement to the next level, providing accurate insight and advising on how to further drive engagement.

You will work closely with the Vice-Chancellor’s Office as well as academic and professional colleagues across the university and build relationships with our partners locally, regionally, nationally and in the Higher Education sector to help us continue to build our reputation. 

You will have a strong sense for a good news story and ability to pre-empt and respond to potential reputational risks. You will also have the opportunity to shape and grow our social media channels as we look to further increase our reach and engagement.
