About the Role

As a Specialist Notetaker, you’ll be the eyes and ears for a student, attending lectures and seminars to produce high-quality, clear, and comprehensive notes. Your timely notes allow the student to focus on understanding the material, not frantically trying to capture every word. It’s a highly flexible role designed to fit around your existing commitments, making it perfect for those with varied schedules.

What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

– Attend scheduled lectures and seminars on the Edge Hill University campus punctually.

– Produce clear, legible, and accurate notes-these can be handwritten or typed.

– Maintain a professional and confidential relationship with the student.

– Ensure all notes are delivered to the student in a timely manner.

– Adhere to the policies and regulations of Edge Hill University.

What You’ll Need (Requirements)

– Strong spelling, grammar, and written communication skills-clarity is essential!

– The ability to take notes efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

– Be highly reliable, punctual, and well-organised.

– Access to your own laptop for typed notes is a big advantage.

Desirable Skills:

– A degree-level education.

– Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities or learning difficulties.
