The opportunity

Join our vibrant academic community at Chelsea College of Arts as an Academic Support Librarian and become an integral part of our Library Services team, contributing to the development of high-quality, student-focused library services.

Managing a small team, including an Assistant Academic Support Librarian and three part-time Library Assistants, you will have responsibility for Customer Service at Chelsea Library, overseeing local frontline services, managing staff timetables for desk cover, and representing Chelsea Library at department-wide working groups.

Your responsibilities will extend to supporting specific courses and programmes of study, actively participating in course committees, and fostering constructive working relationships with course teams. Your role will be instrumental in promoting access to resources, collections, and services through effective academic liaison and information dissemination. You will also assist in the provision of enquiry services and developing learning materials that encourage the utilisation of resources and services.
