looking for an Access and Engagement Project Officer to join our team.

About Us

We are the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, an organisation that protects, enhances and
promotes the immense beauty, wildlife and character of the Yorkshire Dales. Set against
expansive heather moorland tops, each valley has its own distinct charm, from crags and
waterfalls to an underground labyrinth of caves.

We have two exciting new projects aimed at widening National Park experiences to groups
currently under-represented in our visitor demographic and are looking for a 1-year fixed term
Project Officer to manage and deliver these projects on a full time basis (37 hours per week)
to start no later than May 2024, until 31 March 2025. You will be based at our Grassington
office with the potential for some home working.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity working with our established Learning and Engagement team,
alongside other staff members and volunteers, who plan, design and deliver a variety of
sessions to groups outdoors.

You will be will working towards the National Park statutory purpose, to promote opportunities
for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of the area.

About You

With an experience of developing and leading outdoor activities or events, which have a nature
and/or health and wellbeing connection, you will also have a good knowledge of the natural
world and how to conserve it.

You will have an interest in, and the ability to, finding creative solutions to support the
engagement of under-served communities with the Yorkshire Dales.

The role requires regular travel to sites around the National Park, so you will need access to
a vehicle, or access to a means of mobility support is required. If driving you must have a
current valid driving licence and appropriate insurance.

You will be required to undertake a criminal records (DBS) check as part of the recruitment
process.
