the delivery of the Authority’s National Park Management Plan in relation to recreation and
travel? If yes then we have a new role within our Access and Engagement team as an Access and
Recreation Team and Projects Manager that might suit you.

About Us

We are the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, an organisation that protects, enhances and
promotes the immense beauty, wildlife and character of the Yorkshire Dales. Set against
expansive heather moorland tops, each valley has its own distinct charm, from crags and
waterfalls to an underground labyrinth of caves.

We’re looking for an Access and Recreation Team and Projects Manager to join us on a full time
(37 hours per week) permanent basis, based at either our Grassington or Bainbridge office with
the need to regularly work at both offices. There will also be an opportunity for some home
working.

The Role

This is an exciting new role in which you will be focusing on identifying funding, developing
bids and applications and delivering successful projects with multiple partners and
stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.

You will be the lead officer and for the Authority on recreation, active travel (walking,
cycling, etc.) and public transport matters and will work collaboratively with Active Travel
England and the Highway Authorities, partners, landowners, communities and existing and
potential users.

About You

With the relevant qualifications and/or experience, you will have experience of accessing and
securing funding in a similar sector along with formulating, managing and delivering Access and
Recreation projects

You should be a good collaborator and natural networker – able to work with Authority
colleagues, partners and stakeholders to identify, develop and secure external funding for
projects.

The role requires regular travel to sites around the National Park, so you will need access to
a vehicle, or access to a means of mobility support. If driving you must have a current valid
driving licence and appropriate business insurance.
