Account Manager – Raw Food Materials

Our client, a respected European market leader in chemical specialties, occupies a pivotal position between raw material producers and leading Food, Personal Care, Plastics and Coatings manufacturers across the region. In this strategic and autonomous role, you will directly report to the Sales Director and have a visible, measurable impact on the growth of the food ingredients business in Belgium and surrounding countries.You’ll be joining an organisation that actively invests in professional development, offering clear career paths, exposure to international markets and the chance to grow from mid-level responsibility into broader commercial or leadership roles. Role Responsibilities

* Drive business development and account management for food raw materials and ingredients, expanding market share and contributing directly to the company’s growth objectives in the food sector.
* Act as a trusted technical-commercial partner for your customers: understand their formulations and challenges, propose tailored ingredient solutions and build long-term, value-adding relationships.
* Collaborate closely with internal technical, logistics and customer service teams to ensure excellent service delivery, enabling you to focus on identifying new opportunities, nurturing key accounts and closing deals.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Science or a related field, giving you the scientific foundation to credibly advise customers on food raw materials and formulations.
* Proven commercial or sales experience within the chemical sector, specifically in raw materials for the food industry, with a successful track record in B2B business development and account management that you can further leverage and expand in this role.
* Strong technical knowledge of food ingredients, fluency in English and French and/or Dutch, and excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills, enabling you to thrive in competitive markets, build influential networks and drive sustainable business growth.
