The University of Aberdeen Student Support Services are seeking to recruit a new Administration Assistant to ensure that students are supported with a range of individual requirements, and that our services evolve to meet the expanding needs and expectations of the student population. This will involve working closely with individual students, colleagues across support services and the wider University. This role will be focused within our University Counselling service and will work closely with the Service’s Administration Coordinator but will involve some working across different support services as required.

The Counselling Service is located in the heart of Old Aberdeen on our Kings Campus and is a busy service, providing support to students and staff with personal or work-related issues that are causing them concern or emotional distress; with no waiting list.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Counselling Service Administrative team who are crucial to the smooth running of the service. Ensuring all administrative tasks are carried out accurately and supporting with the coordination of appointments, responding to email enquiries from students and members of staff. The role will also involve the staffing of a reception desk. The post will also offer support across Student Support Services, with the possibility of working routinely from another support location on Campuses.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 3, (£22,681 – £25,138 per annum) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
