Exyte France is looking for a SHEQ Project Administrator to provide day-to-day supervision of work on a construction project in Northern France.

The SHEQ Administrator will work closely with the Works Supervisors, the SHEQ Site Manager and other EHS Advisors from subcontractors.

The SHEQ Advisor reports hierarchically to the SHEQ Manager France but reports daily to the SHEQ Manager Site.

The position is based in the North of France (near Lille).

The SHEQ Advisor will work on the project site and may not telework (unless waived by management).

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

As Project SHEQ Advisor, your main tasks will be as follows:

  • Ensuring the EHS coordination of work carried out on the project by Exyte
  • Conduct preliminary visits with subcontractors
  • Accompany, control and monitor the contractors during the works: ensure that the RAMS defined by the contractors (Risk Assessment Method Statement) are followed up, check the SPAs on a daily basis, etc
  • Assisting the Constructions Manager with the issue of work permits (working at height, fire, etc…)
  • Carrying out safety inspections of contractors
  • Carrying out EHS audits to ensure compliance with Exyte’s SHEQ guidelines
  • Monitor the implementation of subcontractors’ quality control plans in collaboration with the construction manager and works supervisors
  • Manage any Quality non-conformities detected.

Your presence in the field is essential if SHEQ requirements are to be met.

Show your expertise

  • You have 2 or 3 years’ higher education in EHS or an equivalent qualification, and ideally have 2 to 3 years’ successful experience in a similar position or an internship or work-study programme in the field of site EHS.
  • You have a strong culture of prevention/safety and the environment, which will enable you to monitor work, enforce standards and audit sites.
  • You are very good at making people adhere to the SHEQ requirements, a good communicator and a team player.
  • You are be able to react quickly, and have good listening and analytical skills.
  • Native or Fluent French speaker.
  • A valid driving licence is required.
  • English level B2
