Air Quality Consultant (1-2 Years’ Experience)

Location: Brighton
Working Pattern: Hybrid working available (minimum 1 day per week in the Brighton office)
Salary: GBP28,000-GBP32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Air Quality Consultant with 1-2 years’ experience in air dispersion modelling to join our expanding Brighton-based team. This role is ideal for an early-career consultant seeking to strengthen their technical expertise and progress within a supportive, professional consultancy environment.

The Role

You will contribute to a wide range of air quality assessments, with a strong emphasis on developments influenced by road traffic emissions. The position offers a balance of hands-on technical work, varied project exposure, and structured guidance to support your ongoing career development.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver air quality assessments for development and infrastructure projects

Undertake air dispersion modelling, particularly for road traffic emissions
*

Assist with the preparation of technical reports and planning documentation
*

Analyse and interpret monitoring and modelling data, presenting results clearly and concisely
*

Collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients across multiple projects

Essential Requirements

1-2 years’ professional experience in air quality consultancy or a related discipline
*

Practical experience in air dispersion modelling, including road traffic models
*

Experience assessing developments impacted by road traffic emissions
*

Membership of the IAQM, or actively working towards it
*

A relevant degree in environmental science, air quality, or a related field
*

Strong written and verbal communication skills
