As an integral part of HPE, we work in areas such as IT Commercial Law, Intellectual Property, Mergers and Acquisitions, Ethics, Antitrust and Litigation and others.This position is part of the France Legal Team, which is composed of 5 members, including 3 lawyers who work together on commercial transactions. The HPE France Legal team is part of HPE’s North Europe legal team (+20 lawyers in total).Your tutor will guide you in your mission by helping you familiarize yourself with HPE solutions portfolio and develop your legal skills in IT transactions in the large private & public accounts segment.As an Apprentice Legal Counsel, you will:Support our commercial lawyers who can negotiate and execute key customer transactions for our expanding IT infrastructure and services business in France.Focus on supporting all of our Business Unit’s across France, including our Infrastructure, High Performance/Mission Critical, Intelligent Edge, GreenLake Cloud Services and Services Business Units on their most complex and important customer contracts providing a high quality and efficient service to the business.Use your commercial legal skills, and the ability to participate in legal negotiation while being a team player working in a collaborative way and being a good communicator.Support the business on contractual disputes and a variety of legal issues including Privacy, Competition law, IP, Security, HR, etc. A growth mind-set and the effective willingness to deal with new/unknown issues are critical to be successful in this role.Work in a team environment, will support colleagues on challenging legal transactions, share knowledge and invest in the HPE business and our legal team.Your profile:Student in Master 1 or Master 2 in Commercial law.Strong interest in IT contracts and commercial law is a requirement.Ability to identify, analyse and resolve legal issues with solution-oriented focus while pragmatically balancing risk. Some understanding of Corporate Law, Data Privacy and IP law principles.Strong team player with willingness to collaborate within and outside of HPE Legal function.Qualifications/knowledge required:You are passionate about Legal issues.Motivated and curious: desire to learn and progress.Methodical and organized.Perseverant and proactive.Good communication, clear and fluid expression. Active listening.
