Archivist

Location: Wimborne

Salary: A£8,779 per annum

Hours: 12.5 hours per week, Maternity Cover

Founded in 1923, the School has an established history both in relation to its buildings and also the legacy of past users of the site.

The Role

An enthusiastic Archivist is sought to cover a period of Maternity leave commencing in August 2024 to work closely with the Librarian and the Development Office to catalogue archive materials using “Archive Manager” software.

The postholder will also be involved in the delivery of educational sessions to pupils during the year, answering enquiries from members of the public and creating permanent and temporary displays and exhibitions across the School site.

Skills & Experience

Candidates should have:

* Prior experience of working in a similar environment and have a keen interest in history.
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* The ability to prioritise daily tasks
* The ability to be proactive and use initiative
* A strong administrative and IT skills
* A strong work ethic and attention to details
