A market leader of specialist packaging machinery is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover Ireland. Selling primarily into the food industry, we pride ourselves on retaining staff offering exceptional support to our team. BASIC SALARY: Up to A£50,000 per annum

LOCATION: Home based, you will ideally be living in Northern Ireland, with a brief to cover Northern Ireland and Ireland.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager – Specialist Machinery, Food

As the Area Sales Manager you will be home based and responsible for covering the whole of Ireland working closely with the Managing Director and the existing salesperson who is currently covering Ireland from England. The order values range from A£35,000 to over A£1 million and there will be no set target in your first year, giving you time to settle into your new role and build momentum.

Your main responsibilities will be:
A· Account management (30%) and new business development (70%) in Ireland
A· Selling specialist packaging equipment primarily into the food industry (70%) and non-food markets (30%) and there is no set target in the first year.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager – Specialist Machinery, Food

As the Area Sales Manager you will be committed to new business development and managing existing accounts in Ireland.

You will be:
A· An experienced industrial, technical, or engineering field salesperson and will ideally have some experience working within or for a company selling to the food processing industry.
A· Driven, self-motivated and organised; a good industrial salesperson who is seeking a new challenge within a growing, successful company.
A· Competent with IT systems and CRMs
A· Confident with technical and engineering terminology, ideally an engineering background with relevant qualifications

THE COMPANY:

The UK Sales and Service Office is based in the North of England with the manufacturing facilities based in Italy. With nearly 40 years in business, we have grown steadily with a 15% growth in the last 3 years. Specialist engineers are responsible for the after-sales service with access to a vast spares store onsite. We pride ourselves on our technical knowledge, expertise, and the professional service we deliver.

PROSPECTS:

The prospects are excellent. The company prides itself on staff retention which is accomplished by continuous support, mentoring and product training. Once you are established in your role the company will be seeking an Ireland based Service Engineer to directly support you, working closely together you will be crucial to building the team to solely support Irish clients.
