About The Role:

As an Area Specification Manager, you will be responsible for managing the specification sales operation within a defined area.

The role is both challenging and fast paced and will require the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

As an Area Specification Manager with Boon Edam, you will be responsible for building and maintain relationships with architects, consultant and specifiers, to ensure Boon Edam products are included in project designs, whilst providing expert advice on security entrance systems, revolving doors, access control and compliance standards.

We’re looking for someone who is able to identify and track new project opportunities, whilst managing the full specification lifecycle, from concept to completion. To achieve this, the post holder will work closely with our internal teams, to convert specifications in order.

The ideal candidate will need to based within the Manchester or Leeds area or within close proximity to the M62 corridor. Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 08.30 to 17:00, although flexibility will be required to meet the requirements of the role, such as attending customer visits and sales meetings.

What skills and experience are required to perform this role?

* Proven experience in specification sales, ideally within doors, access control, security solutions, or construction-related industries.
* Strong understanding of architectural specifications, building codes, and compliance requirements.
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.
* Knowledge of CRM systems and project tracking software is advantageous.
