Position: Ariba Sourcing Consultant
– Freelance or Regular Contract Available –
Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Antwerp might be requested)

The ARIBA project is launched within P&T as one of the drivers to reach the ambitions set within the INSPIRE strategy. The goal of this project is to digitalize the end-to-end indirect procurement processes by the implementation of SAP Ariba. For this reason, we are looking for a Sourcing Expert to help drive and realize the business case identified with the implementation of the Global SAP Ariba solution.
Job Description: We are seeking a Procurement Sourcing (Buyer) Expert to provide full, life cycle procurement support with extensive knowledge of the Ariba Upstream Sourcing functionalities. In this capacity, you will execute sourcing projects and/or provide support to strategic sourcing projects. You will work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost, process, and service improvements. Additionally, you will assist in reporting category-specific savings results to internal stakeholders and provide functional support in negotiations.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Execute sourcing projects and/or provide support to strategic sourcing projects.
* Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost, process, and service improvements.
* Assist in reporting category-specific savings results to internal stakeholders.
* Execute small to medium-sized sourcing projects in the SAP Ariba system and/or provide support to the contracting process.
* Provide functional support in small to complex negotiations.
* Support problem-solving and issue-resolution efforts to support internal customer satisfaction.
* Develop solid working relationships with internal customer stakeholders at both the corporate and business unit levels.
* Interface with internal customer stakeholders and project teams to facilitate progress.
* Provide analytical support for necessary re-sourcing activities to maintain the competitiveness of category contracts.
* Learn to build upon world-class supply chain expertise in negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.
* Work directly with internal stakeholders and gain exposure to senior supply chain and operations management.
* Eager to continuously learn and stay up-to-date with new Ariba sourcing functionalities.
Technical Profile Requirements:
* Postgraduate degree preferred.
* Profound knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes.
* In-depth knowledge and experience with SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing, eSourcing, and eAuction, Contract tool, Tactical Sourcing is an absolute must.
* Experience working with customers and suppliers.
* Experience in procurement negotiations, applied game-theory, auction-theory, and developing optimal eSourcing (incl. eAuction) strategies.
* Lead and facilitate supplier onboarding and training for eSourcing (incl. eAuction).
* Lead and facilitate cross-functional evaluation teams through the event set up and evaluation/award tasks.
* Design and develop relevant eSourcing (incl. eAuction) structure using eSourcing tools SAP Ariba.
* Review and optimize Ariba Sourcing templates and adopt administration accountabilities.
* Capture and report eSourcing (incl. eAuction) results to support awarding decision.
* Proficiency in spreadsheet software e.g., Excel, and presentation software i.e., PowerPoint.
