Offer DescriptionRECTOR OF THE SILESIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY announces the competition for the position of assistant in a group of research and teaching employees in the Department of Computer Graphics, Vision and Digital Systems at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, 2A Akademicka St.Job description:
1) the competition for the position of assistant is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and the Statute of the Silesian University of Technology of 3 June, 2019 (Legal Monitor of SUT of 2020, item 339 as amended),
2) estimated work commencement date: 01.10.2024,
3) workplace and type of contract: Department of Computer Graphics, Vision and Digital Systems at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science, full-time employment contract,
4) period of employment: from 01.10.2024 to 30.09.2025 (with the possibility of extension).Requirements:
1) master engineer degree in the discipline technical informatics and telecommunications,
2) confirmed knowledge of Polish language (applies to candidates, for which Polish is not a native language),
3) knowledge of English language that allows to follow the literature and conduct didactic classes,
4) participation in thematic conferences and symposia.Additional requirements:
1) PhD degree or open doctoral thesis in the discipline technical informatics and telecommunications – will be an additional advantage,
2) experience in didactic activities at university in the field of technical informatics and telecommunications,
3) additional advantage is an experience in design and development of digital, microprocessor and embedded systems,
4) at least one scientific publication in the field of technical informatics and telecommunications in the reviewed materials.Required documents:

2) copy of higher education diploma,
3) curriculum vitae,
4) information on the scientific and didactic achievements together with the determined direction of her/his further activity,
5) statement or document confirming knowledge of Polish language (applies to candidates, for which Polish is not a native language),
