Due to the promotion of our previous post-holder, Christ’s College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the full-time, permanent post of Assistant Librarian. Joining a library team of 6 (including this post), the role reports to the College Librarian and supports the efficient day-to-day running of all areas of the Library.

Serving approximately 400 undergraduates, 250 post-graduates and 90 Fellows, plus visiting researchers, the library’s collections comprise its modern collection, the rare books and manuscripts collection housed in the Old library (including first editions by John Milton and Charles Darwin), and the law library. With particular responsibility for the acquisition of modern printed books and for assisting with the management of the College’s special collections, this post would suit an experienced team player with the ability to work pro-actively and effectively with a wide range of library users.

Salary: Spine points 32-36 on the University of Cambridge single salary spine; £27,979 – £31,396 per annum
