Offer DescriptionWe are looking for a candidate with the following characteristics:

  • has a demonstrated scientific interest in veterinary pharmacology and toxicology, and the use of laboratory animals
  • has at least 2 years of didactic experience in teaching toxicology or animal pharmacology,
  • has at least 6 years of experience in scientific and research work,
  • has a scientific output documented by at least 8 scientific publications that have appeared in scientific journals published in the list of the competent Minister of Higher Education, part A, including the number of points for publications in scientific journals with an Impact Factor (IF), included in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) database, Hirsch index of at least 4 according to the Web of Science Core Collection. The scientific output should reflect interests related to veterinary pharmacology and toxicology,
  • has experience with research grants of at least national scope
  • has experience in collaboration and joint publications with scientific centers abroad,
  • demonstrates familiarity with working with laboratory animals,
  • has experience in animal management facility, as a person who supervises the performance of animal experiments, supervises animal welfare, and as a person who supervises animal caretakers,
  • demonstrates proficiency in the Polish language,
  • speaks English to at least an intermediate level, supported by a certificate
  • has the ability to work in a team and flexibly organize work time,
  • uses computer application programs necessary for teaching and scientific work.

The task of the new employee will be to participate in the undertakings of the Department of Preclinical Sciences, Institute of Veterinary Medicine, WULS-SGGW and to achieve excellence in scientific research (including animal research), academic teaching and other professional duties and organizational work. The candidate is expected to be active in applying for research grants also in international cooperation, in conducting scientific projects, and in teaching subjects including primarily pharmacology and toxicology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and other faculties of WULS-SGGW. The candidate should be active in improving scientific and professional qualifications (for example, by participating in specialized training courses and workshops at home and abroad), independently write scientific publications, and present research results at international conferences.
