  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ability to use statistical software such as Statistica or R-Studio;
  • Knowledge in water management, river valley management, and drought assessment;
  • Familiarity with principles and methods used in research positions;
  • Excellent time management and self-organizational skills;
  • Ability to work in a team.

Specific RequirementsBasic requirements:

  • A doctoral degree in engineering and technical sciences;
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a scientific, scientific-teaching, or research and development position;
  • Aptitude for scientific work confirmed by the opinion of the previous employer (head/director of the administrative unit, if the candidate is transitioning to the position of assistant professor) or previous employer or doctoral dissertation supervisor in the case of initial employment;
  • Proficiency in English at the level of at least B2 (Upper-intermediate) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), confirmed by a certificate (e.g., FCE) or candidate’s statement;
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Polish at least at a communicative level (for foreign candidates);
  • For initial employment: 2 publications on topics related to environmental engineering, including urban ecology and water management, or climate sciences, for at least 100 points according to the latest list of journals of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MEiN) (sole or with co-authors). For re-employment/transition to the position: in the last 2 years, a minimum of 3 publications in the aforementioned scope for not less than 100 points each, with a total sum of individual shares/slots of at least 2.0 or 2 obtained patents (sole or with co-authors, published in the Official Gazette of the Patent Office);
  • Hirsch index: at least 2 (according to the Web of Science or Scopus database).
