Main duties:
- Conducting research in the form of publications and conference presentations;
- Teaching Hungarian literary studies, Polish-Hungarian or Hungarian-Polish translation studies, and practical Hungarian language;
- Performing organizational duties as required of academic staff;
- Commitment to improving teaching standards at the university, including: enhancing one’s own professional competencies (especially research and teaching skills) and applying the acquired knowledge skills in collaboration with other lecturers, initiating activities aimed at developing methods that enhance the attractiveness and effectiveness of the teaching process.

Eligibility requirements:
- The successful candidate for the position shall comply with the requirements specified in art. 113 of The Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571 with amendments);
- Hold at least a PhD degree in humanities in the field of literary studies, with a research specialization in Hungarian literary studies;
- Have native or proficient knowledge of Hungarian (C2 level according to the CEFR);
- Have native or proficient knowledge of Polish (C2 level according to the CEFR);
- Engage in scholarly activities, as evidenced by publications and participation in academic conferences, primarily in the field of Hungarian literary studies;
- Have at least three years of working experience at a higher education institution, including teaching;
- International experience;
- A plan for further academic activity.
In addition, we expect:
- Documented attempts to obtain external grants are welcome.
The University of Warsaw is to be the primary place of work for the selected applicant.Criteria for assessing candidates:
- Research achievements: publications and conference participation; (quantity, impact, rank, scope);
- Participation in international projects;
- Didactic experience/achievements;
- Performance at the job interview (short interview in Hungarian on the course of the career and research plans for the future).
