Offer DescriptionAn assistant professor with the research and teaching staff of the Department of Multimodal Communication at the Institute of Applied Linguistics, Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures. Holds a PhD in humanities 2. Has a specialization in linguistics 3. Has teaching experience at university level in subjects such as linguistics, methodology in and statistics for linguistics, academic English 4. Candidates who were awarded a PhD up to 7 years before applying should meet the following requirements: a. published two single-author or co-authored papers (except for reviews), out of which one in a journal with a 40-point score and the other awarded at least 40 points. At least one of the papers should be published: – in an internationally recognized journal (as reflected by the Impact Factor, or listed in Scopus) or – in a publishing house listed on level 2 of the Ministry’s list, b. the candidate’s PhD thesis has been published, recommended for publication, or awarded a distinction, c. in the area of project application or project participation: – submitted a grant application accepted as formally correct to NCN, NPRH, NCBiR, or an equivalent national or foreign institution, or within the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme (2014-2020), or Horizon Europe, as the principal investigator or a team lead (in consortium projects); in competitions without the formal assessment stage, the application must have been approved at least at the first stage of the evaluation, or – participated in a project funded by the above mentioned institutions as an investigator working under a contract of employment, civil-law contract, or a scholarship; d. submits a research plan for the next 2 years. 5. Competition committee begins working no later than 14 days after the deadline for submission of documents. 2. Formal evaluation of submitted proposals. 3. Call to provide additional or missing documents if necessary. 4. Selection of candidates for the interview stage. 5. Interviews for candidates who meet the formal requirements. 6. The committee has the right to request external reviews of candidates’ work or to ask candidates to conduct teaching assignments with an opportunity for student evaluation. 7. The chair of the competition committee announces the results and informs the candidates. This information will include justification with a reference to candidates’ strengths and weaknesses.
