Offer DescriptionThe Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology of Erasmus MC seeks a motivated assistant professor to establish a new research line in the intersection of statistics, causal inference, and machine learning. The scope of the new research line is broad and should complement the existing research lines within the department.This position primarily focuses on research, but is also expected to be involved in the department’s teaching and consulting activities.RequirementsSpecific Requirements

  • PhD degree in Statistics, Computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work as an independent researcher.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Experience in collaborative projects with clinical researchers is considered a plus.
  • Good social and communication skills and willingness to work with other team members.

Additional InformationBenefits

  • You will receive a temporary position for 3 years. The gross monthly salary amounts a maximum of € 6.986,- (scale 12), depending on your level of education and relevant experience, based on a full-time working week of 36 hours. Possibility for a permanent employment contract after three years.
