A core value of the course is an emphasis on the importance of integrating practice and theory, informed by the reflective scientist practitioner model of integrated training in research, practice and personal reflection. Within the three years, the course provides an intensive and systematic programme of training that equips students to meet the challenges of the Irish Health Services Context The Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology will join the existing team and contribute to teaching and administration on the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology. They will provide supervision to postgraduate students and contribute to the international profile of research in psychology in the School of Psychology. There is an expectation that the working week of the successful applicant will include Monday as this is the primary administrative and teaching day for the course. Person Requirements QualificationsThe successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D or D.Clin. Psych) and will be professionally qualified in clinical psychology. Candidates must be eligible for registered membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Academic publications in peer reviewed international journals and/or publications of equal standing of recognised originality and value.
