This is a 5-year tenure track, full time contract post as Assistant Professor in Film (with a specialism in cinema and Ireland and/or film cultures outside US/Western European contexts). The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to teaching, research, and administrative activities in the Department of Film, School of Creative Arts. The successful candidate will be expected to teach modules in the field of Film Studies with a specialism in cinema and Ireland and/or film cultures outside US/Western European contexts. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years post-PhD experience in teaching and a research profile in line with expectations at this grade. They will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate supervision and mentoring, as well as to the administrative functions of the Department and School. The School requires a candidate to contribute to UG and PG teaching and supervision, to aid the development of curricula, to contribute to the research profile of the Department and School, and to participate in the administrative activities of the Department and School.
