Description du poste :Reporting directly to the Head of the Finance Department, the candidate will be a member of the De Vinci Research Center (DVRC) within the Leonard de Vinci Cluster and will teach in the Financial Engineering major. They must have demonstrated their abilities as a teacher-researcher, particularly by publishing in leading international peer-reviewed journals in quantitative finance, computational finance, and machine learning applied to finance.
Therefore, your responsibilities include:

  • Teaching :

– Delivering lectures
– Supervising student projects and internships
– Providing academic guidance to students
– Advising students

  • Research :

– Initiating/continuing research collaborations with DVRC members and/or external partners
– Publishing articles in top-tier international scientific journals with peer review in the aforementioned fields
– Presenting research findings within the laboratory, externally at seminars, conferences, and symposiums
– Participating in the pursuit of funded research projects
– Engaging in DVRC activities (seminars, meetings)

  • External Relations and Cooperation with Support Services :

– Involvement in ESILV’s promotional campaigns targeting young individuals and families (Open House Days, exhibitions, forums, conferences, press…)
– Serving as a jury member for various school recruitment competitions
– Contributing to the development of collaborations in teaching and/or research.Description du profil :You are a professional with in-depth knowledge in the fields of probability mathematics, higher education, and the economic landscape and professions.
In the realm of probability mathematics, you possess expertise in analyzing and modeling complex phenomena, such as probability and statistics, which are crucial for making informed decisions across various domains. Your experience in higher education has enabled you to understand students’ needs and apply effective pedagogical methods to enhance their learning. Additionally, you have an extensive understanding of the economic landscape and the various professions within it, allowing you to develop strategies tailored to the specific requirements of each sector.
You are capable of designing educational programs and implementing effective pedagogical methods to facilitate learning and skill development. Your proficiency in English at an advanced level (year 4 English course) enables you to work effectively in an international context and communicate with colleagues and partners on a global scale. Furthermore, you possess advanced skills in using office tools like Microsoft Office, enabling you to organize and present information clearly and professionally.Description de l’entreprise :The ESILV, Leonard de Vinci Graduate School of Engineering, is a general engineering school located in Paris La Défense and Nantes, with 3800 students and 4200 alumni. It primarily admits students at the high school diploma level and trains operational engineers over a 5-year period. The educational project of ESILV revolves around digital sciences and technologies, with strong interdisciplinary aspects, encompassing 20% of its curriculum shared with EMLV (a management school) and IIM (digital school). This includes a 5-year Engineer-Manager program, resulting in a dual degree with EMLV.
