Salary:  £40,521 to £56,021 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The School of Health Science is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Health Promotion and Public Health. We are looking for an outstanding academic to join our team delivering a new and innovative BSc Health Promotion and Public Health degree. The programme is accredited by the Institute of Health Promotion and Education and mapped to the UK Public Health Register Standards.    

This is a permanent post for which we seek candidates with experience in Health Promotion and Public Health to deliver teaching across a range of modules on the programme. 

The post holder will be responsible for the design and quality control of modules and/or programmes of study in Health Promotion and Public Health ensuring the curriculum is up to date and international in its scope; provide curriculum leadership in own area of expertise; design and undertake assessments, marking and feedback.

The School takes pride in supporting a teaching and learning culture that is inclusive, supportive, ambitious and developmental for staff at all stages of their career, and within which individual and collaborative Scholarly activity can flourish, can influence the wider discipline, and have an impact far beyond the School. The successful candidate will be expected to raise the profile of Health Promotion and Public Health within the University and beyond, at the national and international levels.

Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week) however applicants are welcome from candidate wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).  Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
