Job description
The Discipline of Medical Education in the School of Medicine at Trinity College invites applications for the post of an Assistant Professor in Medical Education. The post will support and contribute to the teaching, research, and administrative activities in the discipline. This role will have a particular emphasis on developing and implementing an evidence-based education practices across the undergraduate medicine course in line with the university policies and international best practice, to meet the standards of the Irish Medical Council. The successful applicant will have an established reputation in teaching and research in the field of medical education and be expected to contribute to the ongoing review of the curriculum. Appointees will be expected to divide their time between teaching, research, supporting undergraduate medical education including curriculum review and Internship programmes. The postholder will play a critical role in the development of the new discipline and its impact on medical education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This is a 5 Year Fixed Term contract with a view to permanency. Police vetting will be sought in respect of individuals who come under consideration for this post. Post status: 5 Year Fixed Term, Tenure Track Hours of Work: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
