Post Summary: The School of Nursing & Midwifery is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor in Mental Health Nursing to contribute to teaching, research and administrative activities in this field. The successful candidate will have a developing profile in mental health nursing education and research and will support the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This position arises in response to the continued growth and development of the mental health nursing discipline within the School, reflecting a strategic commitment to expanding capacity, enhancing expertise, and building on Trinity College Dublin’s leadership in mental health nursing education and research. Qualifications Required: PhD degree or working towards completion of a PhD degree (Desirable). M.Sc. or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing or in a relevant related field where an applicant does not have a PhD. Plans to imminently commence a PhD (Essential). Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or for overseas candidates, the ability to register with NMBI as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (Essential). Registered, or eligible to register on the Nurse Tutor’s division with the NMBI or hold an Equivalent teaching and learning qualification (Desirable). A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Mental Health Nursing (Desirable). Experience in working in Mental Health practice (Essential). Title: Assistant Professor in Mental Health Nursing Post status: 5 Year Fixed Term, Tenure Track Contract Hours of Work: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
