Law on higher education and science – statementand in accordance with the UR Statutes correspond to the following eligibility criteria:Essential requirements:1. doctoral degree in forestry, earth sciences, economic sciences or related disciplines;2. scientific achievements as evidenced by publications in international journals and conference proceedings;Desired requirements:1. doctoral degree obtained outside the Agricultural University of Cracow not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project or completion of at least 10-month post doc internship in a unit other than the project provider and in a country other than the country in which the doctoral degree was obtained;2. the project leader was not the promoter or assistant promoter of the candidate’s dissertation;3. during the period of drawing this remuneration, the candidate will not draw any other remuneration from funds allocated as direct costs from research projects funded by NCN competitions;4. during the period of drawing this remuneration, the candidate will not draw remuneration from another employer on the basis of the employment contract, including from an employer based outside Poland;Specific RequirementsAdditional requirements: * experience in conducting research using machine learning techniques, supported by a body of research evidence through publications in international journals and conference proceedings;

• experience in conducting research on image processing using deep neural networks;
• knowledge of methods of statistical data analysis;
• ability to work with large data sets;
• experience of working in R or Python;

• Development of models describing forest condition based on environmental data and stand parameters using various statistical/machine learning methods;
• involvement in dissemination activities;
• publication of the project’s research results at international and national conferences and in publications;
