Find out more in this video: .The V&V team is recruiting for an Assistant Professor (Research) position in the area of AI Safety. We are looking for a talented AI researcher to join our team developing safe and reliable AI systems for CAV. In this role. You will develop and apply advanced techniques in machine learning (ML) testing, formal verification, uncertainty quantification, ML safety monitors and explainable AI (XAI) to ensure CAV meet the highest safety standards.You will conceptualise, architect, implement and successfully lead applied research and engineering activities in the area of AI Safety. You will enhance the impact of the research and engineering activities via publications, networking, PR-communications, standardisation/regulatory work, and broad stakeholder engagement. You will be a team player, willing to constrictively receive and provide critical assessments of work. You will act as leader internally and externally in your area of domain expertise.The challenges that the V&V team are addressing are complex and multi-disciplinary. You’ll have a passion for technology and engineering and be able to demonstrate a growth mind set. You will be employed to work on variety of Autonomy in transport projects including an EU Horizon funded programme, in collaboration with industry and academic partners.The V&V group at WMG is globally recognised, with the research and engineering team siting on global standards committees as the UK representative (i.e. ISO TC 204/WG14 and ISO TC22/ SC33/ WG9), being lead author of a proposed international standard on self-driving shuttles/ pods, and contributing to many more standards (i.e. ASAM OpenLABEL, BSI 1889 & BSI 1883). You must be proficient with ML training frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch and working knowledge of training techniques like transfer learning, adversarial training etc.You must have experience in developing Explainable AI models.
