Randstad C&P are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to work for a established, growing contractor in the Oxford region! The role will involve assisting the site team on various commercial projects, which span across a number of industries including education, retail, leisure, healthcare and industrial! The role will offer candidates an excellent opportunity to learn and develop as an entry level manager, and provides a clear progressional path!

As an Assistant Site Manager, suitable candidates will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of various commercial schemes. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring health and safety compliance, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the Site Manager in managing and coordinating construction activities on-site.
* Assist in ensuring the implementation and enforcement of health and safety regulations.
* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
* Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
* Conduct regular inspections to monitor quality standards and address any issues promptly.
* Support the Site Manager in addressing challenges and resolving issues that may arise during construction.
* Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation and records.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a construction-related role as an Assistant Site Manager.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction practices.
* Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid At Work (essential)
