We are seeking an ambitious Assistive Technology Trainer to empower students and workplace clients by providing specialized training on assistive software and hardware. You will work with individuals who have a range of disabilities and specific learning differences, including visual and hearing impairments, dyslexia, AD(H)D, autism, and more.

This role offers a hybrid working model, combining remote training from home with onsite support. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Tailored Planning: Establish individual requirements to create bespoke, tailored training plans.

Adaptive Teaching: Modify teaching styles to meet the unique needs of each learner.

Technical Training: Provide comprehensive instruction on a range of assistive technology tailored to user requirements.
*

Quality Delivery: Ensure training is effective and remains in line with company guidelines and codes of conduct.

Administrative Management: Maintain accurate and prompt student paperwork and file updates.
*

Professional Growth: Attend relevant training sessions to support your continual professional development (CPD).

Required Skills and Experience

Proven Experience: Background in teaching or training assistive technologies, or a similar educational role.

Specialist Knowledge: Demonstrated experience working with disabled people or individuals with specific learning differences.

Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
*

Organisation: Strong organisational skills with proficiency in MS Office.

Problem-Solving: A logical approach to problem-solving and high attention to detail.
*

Technical Agility: The ability to learn and master new assistive software and hardware as it emerges.

Desirable: Experience supporting students with disabilities specifically within further or higher education.
