As Associate Brand Manager, Stryker JR Europe – Hip , you are the European brand expert who sets strategic direction and ensures execution for portfolio growth through the development of marketing campaigns and strategies, portfolio development, internal and external education strategies, and European customer engagement initiatives. With this new created position you have the opportunity to work strategically to expand our hip product portfolio.

What you will do

  • In alignment with global strategy, you will take the ownership of shaping the strategy for our Joint Replacement Hip product portfolio in Europe to achieve required growth, profit, and market share targets.

  • You will work closely with local Marketing teams in leading downstream execution to drive market share gain, while also contributing to upstream marketing initiatives to ensure product and business development projects.

  • You will create scalable assets, tools, marketing campaigns and best practices.

  • In collaboration with the Education Manager, you identify education, brand experience and customer engagement opportunities for both internal and external audiences to increase brand perception and value.

  • You will develop trust and strong relationships with the European Joint Replacement (JR)Leadership Team, Local Marketers, Sales Teams, internal stakeholders, and key customers (KOLs).

  • In collaboration with the broader European Central and Local Marketing teams, you will drive the creation of the Annual Marketing Plan (AMP) and portfolio roadmap.

  • You will partner with the local JR Leadership and Marketing teams to drive forecast accuracy and build strong relationships with supply chain partners to develop an appropriate demand plan.

  • Define and execute regional product life cycle management (PLCM), including phase-in (launch) and phase-out of products.

  • Provide analysis of JR Hip business performance, brand perception, marketing activity impact and other drivers of future brand performance.

  • Manage branding, messaging, positioning, and pricing of assigned brands based on market, customer, and competitive insights.

  • Partner with divisional resources to develop the portfolio through new product development, line extensions, and M&A activity with support from manager.

  • In partnership with Education Manager, identify internal training needs and create relevant content and training programs.

  • Create Pan European, scalable customer engagement events such as facility tours/events/congresses, hands-on opportunities, and medical education programs, in partnership with Education Manager.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Science, Economics, or a relevant field (Master’s or MBA highly desirable).

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience required.

  • 5+ years of experience in Medical Device or marketing/sales preferred.

  • Experience in international marketing and/or sales within a multinational medical device company highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects within established timelines.

  • Proven track record in leading successful marketing projects (incl. marketing plans, product launches and campaigns, etc.) that result in above market growth and delivery of financial commitments.

  • Persuasive communication skills in the absence of organizational authority.

  • Proficient in navigating complex interdivisional procedures and policies.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

  • An energized and strong personality marketeer who is a great collaborator, networker, and communicator, capable of leveraging these strengths effectively within a matrix organization

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).

  • Fluency in English is required; additional proficiency in a European language is a plus.

Additional information

  • Flexible within Europe, preference for near international airport/travel hub.

  • Proximity to European Headquarter in Amsterdam would be a preferred.

  • Minimum of 30-40% travel, depending on your location, should be expected.
