Harnessing technology and rebuilding software expertise the team is inspiring simplicity with projects that deliver revenue and cost savings opportunities.Job Overview:We’re hiring for a technical hands-on leader of a DevSecOps team with a strong background in software development, security, and operations, with a passion for implementing best practices and innovative solutions.You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the secure and efficient deployment of our applications and infrastructure.Core Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership to build, motivate, guide, scale, and mentor team members including performance management coaching.
- Perform the role of the technical leader combined with the ability to fullfil the role of a Senior DevSecOps Engineer
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and prioritize security requirements and integrate them into the software development lifecycle.
- Implement and maintain security tools, processes, and best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our applications and infrastructure.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement tools and technologies to drive automation and optimization of version control, configuration management and CI/CD processes.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on secure coding practices, threat modeling, and risk management.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements, propose changes, and gain alignment to drive continuous improvement and automation into the SCM and CI/CD processes.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, addressing any issues or bottlenecks that may impact project timelines or software quality.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Proven experience with running a team – resource planning, recruitment, and team development.
- Security first mindset
- 5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, and configuration management
- 5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, tools and infrastructures for applications deployed On Prem and in the Cloud (Azure DevOps experience preferred)
- 5+ years of experience managing complex development, test, integration, and production environments with different versions, building new environments, and providing support for existing ones.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX system administration, including configuration, optimization, and security.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and remediate security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related subject
