We are looking to appoint an Associate Lecturer(s) in Performance Analysis within the School of Sport an Exercise Science at the University of Worcester.  Successful candidates will teach on the MSc Sport (Performance Analysis) course and performance analysis modules at undergraduate level.

In the School of Sport and Exercise Science our vision is to use sport as an engine for opportunity – supporting positive social transformation. We have an excellent international reputation in the field of inclusive sport, pioneering new ways to open up the joy of active participation in sport to hitherto marginalised and under-represented groups. We also maintain a strong focus on employability in our teaching. Worcester graduates are skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic, and we are confident that they will go on to make a significant impact as the sports practitioners of the future. We offer a range of courses from Foundation Degrees to PhD, with our most popular courses being BSc Sport and Exercise Science, BSc Sports Therapy, MSc Sports Coaching and MSc Performance Analysis.

Our commitment to work that delivers real social benefit is facilitated through high quality teaching, world leading research, and ground-breaking facilities. For example, University of Worcester Arena is the first sports facility in the UK to be designed with the needs of the wheelchair athlete in mind. The Arena also hosts a wide range of international sports events and conferences.  We have also developed a range of productive sporting and academic partnerships, both at home and overseas; collaborations that have helped cement Worcester’s place on the world stage.

Informal queries in relation to this vacancy are welcome and should be directed to Debra Price, Head of Department for PE and Coaching, via emailing [email protected]

NB.  If you are successful at interview you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers and we will contact you if suitable work becomes available. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week. If only an element of this work if offered which does not involve additional preparation and administration a standard hourly rate will apply, currently £19.23 plus £4.23 holiday pay.

We value diversity and wish to promote equality at all levels
