The NCFM is a major hub for the UK’s food industry with over 250 major companies accessing courses, technical services and research. Our clients are major national and global food manufacturing businesses and retailers. NCFM delivers Apprenticeships in partnerships with over 80 food businesses and is a leading provider of higher and degree apprenticeships for the sector.

The post requires an experienced teacher and quality practitioner with proven leadership and team building skills. The role holder must have a sound understanding of academic practice relating to apprenticeship provision along with an aptitude and experience in engaging with businesses in the development or quality enhancement of educational provision.

The post holder will oversee the effective delivery of all of NCFM’s apprenticeship provision and short courses working closely with Program Leaders and the School’s Director of Teaching and Learning to deliver an exemplary apprenticeship experience for apprentices and employers and ensure the effective management of the resources that underpin delivery.

The University has established a central office to oversee the strategic development of apprenticeships across the institution and ensure standardisation of practice, and the post holder will work closely with the Office of Apprenticeships and Skills to ensure that the NCFM’s provision is aligned with institutional standards and operational practice.
