It is important to us that you are a team player with openness to interdisciplinary research. You will be working with researchers from diverse backgrounds, including microbiology, NMR spectroscopy, physics, and electrical engineering. Together, we are exploring new methodologies and technologies to push the boundaries of infection biology research, especially with an emphasis on the host-pathogen interactions.Responsibilities and qualifications
Your responsibilities will be to pioneer advancements in our understanding of bacterial infection processes, antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, and translation of biological findings to clinical applications. In particular, you will expand our knowledge about the role of metabolic interactions between infecting bacteria, host tissue cells and immune cells. You are expected to contribute to developing the research portfolio and funding within the above area.
