Job Description:Our research section, Strategy and Leadership Development at the Department of Engineering Technology at DTU, invites applications for full-time faculty positions as Associate Professor. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated colleague with a strong research background and a passion for teaching in the field of leading and managing people and implementing new digitally enabled ways of working. We are seeking a candidate with a deep understanding of technology and its organizational implications, and the ideal candidate should be able to understand technology beyond its surface-level functions.Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be to strengthen our section’s competencies within sustainable management and implementation of new ways of working driven by the introduction of new technologies. We are looking for a candidate who can contribute to our research on improving conditions for people to thrive in the workplace, particularly in the context of evolving technological advancements shaping the future of work. Our research has a human- and process-centric focus, striving to sustain both performance and well-being. We are particularly curious about how socio-technical work systems can be (re)designed to integrate human and work task aspects more effectively.In SLD, our research focuses on how organizations adopt new technologies, implement new work methods, and their impact on people, performance, and societal challenges. You will work with nearby colleagues in our section in a diverse and inclusive environment and with both academic and industrial partners in Denmark as well as abroad.The successful candidate will be required to initiate and publish research in peer-reviewed international journals, present research at international conferences, apply for external funding in Denmark and internationally and disseminate scientific knowledge to students and practice. Prior experience in securing external research funding and managing research projects is highly valued and considered an advantage.The successful candidate is also expected to be course-responsible and plan, conduct teaching and supervise participants in DTU’s Continuing Education program: Diplom i Ledelse ( ), in courses such as:

Our new colleague will also have the opportunity to supervise students and doctoral candidates and participate in exam-related work at all levels of the Department’s study programs (bachelor, master, professional, and PhD) within work and organizational psychologyAs formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) as well as academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training.You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.The expected starting date is 1st August 2025 (or according to a mutual agreement).
