Offer DescriptionWMIM/1210/EK/01/2025Associate Professor (pol. profesor uczelni)A position in the group of research and teaching academicsis available at the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and MechanicsIn accordance with the Law on Higher Education and Science, the University of Warsaw invites applications for an Associate Professor (pol. profesor uczelni) position in the research and teaching academics group in the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. Candidates eligible to participate in the competition must meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018 (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended).Terms of employment: planned starting date is 1st Oct. 2025 or 1st Feb. 2026, full-time, employment for 4 years with the possibility of extension for an indefinite period based on a positive work/performance evaluation in the last year of employment. The person employed will carry out research in mathematics and his/her teaching duties will be 210 teaching hours per academic year. Basic salary: 10 183 PLN gross per month plus the allowance for years of service (1 percent of the basic remuneration for each year of service); this amount may be increased by 10 to 40 percent by salary bonuses awarded to active faculty members, see the at the University of Warsaw. At least a doctoral degree in mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline2. A significant academic record in mathematics, demonstrating independence in research3. Application deadline: 14 February, 2025The applications will be evaluated by the Competition Committee appointed by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics of the University of Warsaw.
