We are seeking a Senior Automation Technician to join the Engineering, Validation, and Maintenance (EVM) team at a leading biotech manufacturing site. You will work closely with internal teams and external contractors to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automation processes.Key Responsibilities
-Perform and oversee preventive/corrective maintenance for automation systems.
-Act as the first point of contact for automation-related activities.
-Guide third-party contractors during maintenance and project execution.
-Troubleshoot automation systems, including electrical control and I/O cabinets.
-Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.
-Participate in on-call support (approx. one week every six weeks).
-Support improvement initiatives within the department.Requirements
-MBO (level 4) in Electronics, Automation, IT, or a related field.
-2-4 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in biotech/pharma.
-Strong knowledge of BMS (Desigo CC), EMS, and SCADA systems.
-Experience with Siemens S7, Delta-V, OSIsoft, and OPC is a plus.
-Ability to work across multiple teams (IT, operations, quality, engineering, maintenance).
-Electrical troubleshooting experience.
-Compliance awareness (GAMP, computer system validation) is an advantage.
-Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
-Fluency in English and preferably Dutch.Additional Information
