What will you do?
As an Azure Cloud Solution Architect at Royal Mail, you will ensure that the solutions being designed and developed provide a consensus-based solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronisation with changing business needs.
You will be pivotal in Royal Mail’s digital transformation and Azure migration journey.
You will review and govern designs from our partners and suppliers, ensuring adherence to Royal Mail standards and best practices. You’ll prepare the solution architecture, design principles and target vision for the overall solution.
Leveraging existing technologies, you will be responsible for developing technical specifications. And ensuring new technology solutions are designed for optimal business use by applying architectural and engineering concepts to create solutions.
You will ensure technical solutions meet end-user needs, including identifying new technologies and working with development teams to design and build solutions.
What experience should you have?
• Good experience architecting solutions using Azure SaaS/PaaS/IaaS services like the UI, API, middleware, storage, microservices, security, infrastructure/networking.
• Experience in Azure Cloud architecture, high-level design, and documenting and implementing one or more aspects of solution architecture: Services, applications, integration, or data.
• Azure Cloud Product or software evaluation skills.
• Experience in migrating from on-premise to Cloud technologies.
• Experience in defining and implementing complex systems architectures.
• Hands-on experience planning, designing, and implementing applications and data in a complex distributed environment.
• Knowledge and experience of enterprise-wide systems architectures.
• Experience in performing complex analysis, system delivery, and providing technical recommendations.
Nice to haves:
• Experience in Android, Mobile solutions
