Bank Waking Nights Care and Support Assistant

Hilltop House, Bury St Edmunds

£11.67 per hour effective from 1 April 2024

Hours as and when required – 
Week days and weekends, 21:30pm to 7:30am

Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However, you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

Hilltop House is currently recruiting for Bank Nights Care and Support Assistants to provide personal care and support to our customers who are aged 18 or over and living with a range of physical disabilities. Set three miles from the town centre of Bury St Edmunds, Hilltop House has 12 unfurnished one-bedroom flats.

The role of Bank Nights Care and Support Assistant will include:

-Delivering a high level of personalised care and support and encouraging our customers to live as independently as possible
-Supporting customers with washing, dressing, bathing and hygiene
-Administering medication
-Responding to calls should a customer need support in an emergency
-Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
-Implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers
-Keeping accurate and up-to-date records
 

Skills and experiences:

-Passionate about providing a high standard of care to our customers
-Previous experience working in a care related role
-Comfortable working alone
-Ability to react quickly to changing priorities
-NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
