Would you like to help give young people with special needs a unique experience at sea? Save the Children Kalundborg is looking for two volunteer camp leaders for our sailing trip on Fulton, which will take place August 29 – 31, 2025.Become a camp leader on an unforgettable sailing trip with Fulton – Save the Children Kalundborg is looking for two committed leaders!Would you like to help give young people with special needs a unique experience at sea? Save the Children Kalundborg is looking for two volunteer camp leaders for our sailing trip on Fulton , which will take place August 29 – 31, 2025 .You don’t need any sailing experience! The sailing is conducted with a professional crew on Fulton, who is responsible for everything sailing-related – your role will be to focus on the young people and a safe and fun community on board.Before this summer’s voyage, Fulton has invited the volunteers from Save the Children on a trial sail on April 6 , where you as a future camp leader will have the opportunity to get to know the ship – and get a taste of life on board.About the sailing:The sailing is for young people in vulnerable positions aged 14-18 from Kalundborg. The young people are referred to the efforts of professional staff. We want to create a safe, educational and fun environment where the young people can develop and have an experience of a lifetime.We are looking for two camp leaders with different responsibilities: * Camp leader – Practical responsibility and finances:
- Responsibility for practical matters during the sailing, including planning, finances and logistics.
- Make sure that everything practically works before, during and after the sailing.
- Camp leader – Responsibility for youth and volunteers:
- Responsibility for the participants’ well-being, safety and activities on board.
- Support the young people and ensure they have a good experience.
- Recruit and lead the other volunteers during the sailing.
We expect you to:
- Have experience with young people with special needs or are passionate about working with this target group.
- Want to be part of a committed team and contribute to the recruitment of participants and volunteers.
- Has good leadership skills, is structured and can maintain an overview – even in a sailing situation.
- Are ready to take responsibility and create a fantastic experience for all participants.
- Have time to participate in planning, the trial sailing in April and the actual sailing in August.
