Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children facing behavioural and mental health challenges? Looking for a new role in a mainstream primary school? Are you available to start work after May 2024? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dedicated School team, as a Behaviour Support Worker in South Leeds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one support to children with behavioural and mental health issues.
* Implement and monitor individual plans in collaboration with the school’s multidisciplinary team.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting emotional well-being.
* Utilise effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience working with children with behavioural and mental health issues is beneficial
* Team Teach training is desirable.
* DBS check is essential
Skills and Attributes:
* Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.
Working Hours: This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work during standard school hours.
