Description

As a crucial part of the Alcumus BI Team, you will play a critical role in the design, development and maintenance of our global BI visualisation platform to enable the business to consume information and insight on demand.

The role is a critical component of our wider initiative to leverage the power of our data effectively on a global scale as we grow our business.

What that means day to day

• Provide engaging, insightful and innovative dashboard and report design to allow action to be driven from insight.
• Design & delivery of first-class BI reporting solutions to meet customer requirements, through requirements gathering, solution design, testing and iterative development.
• Own the Power BI delivery and continual development of our suite of BI applications, evolving to meet the needs of our business.
• Maintain and evolve the BI suite for optimal performance working closely with Data Engineers to develop data warehouse solutions to meet the customer requirements.
• Troubleshooting of issues, resolving, and communicating in an efficient and effective fashion.
• Provide support and expertise to our client on the optimal use of Power BI.
• Promote the wider use of data and analytics across the business in line with the vision and values of the BI Team. 
• Provision of progress reporting and updates across the business through appropriate meetings around BAU and projects.
• Providing support to other projects as required and working together with the wider BI Team and other areas of the business.
• Continually and proactively identify and deliver improvements in the reporting and visualisation process.

What you’ll need to be successful

Essential

• Significant MS Power BI Development Experience (inc. DAX)
• Excellent Data Visualisation skills.
• Experience of data modelling and understanding of data warehousing
• Experience of AGILE working 
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management 

 Desirable

• MS Power BI Experience.
• Knowledge / Experience of SQL.
