Intitulé de l’offre

Blood pressure monitoring with data science H/F

Sujet de stage

This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to research on continuous blood pressure monitoring, a critical area for improving the management of hypertension and preventing cardiovascular events.

Our work focuses on developing better technologies to provide more accurate, real-time information for enhanced patient outcomes.

Durée du contrat (en mois)

6 months

Description de l’offre

As an intern at CEA, you will have the opportunity to work in a world-renowned research environment. Our teams are made up of passionate and dedicated experts, providing a framework conducive to learning and collaboration. You will have access to cutting-edge equipment and top-notch research resources to carry out your missions.

At LMTS lab, you will work within a team of 15 people.

Thanks to the collaboration between CEA-Leti Health Division and CHU Grenoble, we have collected a unique dataset from the clinical trial MEPPAVOP that includes synchronized ECG and photoplethysmography (PPG) signals, providing a valuable resource for studying the relationship between optical signals and blood pressure.

In this context, the main objective of this internship is to build a machine learning model to estimate the blood pressure from PPG signals. To achieve this, the intern will be expected to:

  • Understand the cardiovascular notions around blood pressure monitoring,
  • Get familiar with the scientific library (MATLAB / Python) currently used in the team for data formatting and processing,
  • Build machine learning and neural network models to estimate blood pressure from existing PPG features,
  • Evaluate the environmental impact of such models, in terms of computing power and data storage.

Moyens / Méthodes / Logiciels

MATLAB / Python / Machine Learning

Profil du candidat

This internship is intended for final-year engineering or Master 2 students, specializing in biomedical engineering, signal processing or machine learning.

A prior experience with MATLAB and Python is highly desirable and an interest in medical applications is preferred. Good communication skills, English literacy and team spirit are appreciated.

Finally, this internship may lead to doctoral research, and the candidate’s desire to continue will be valued.

Still have doubts? We offer you:

  • The opportunity to work within a world-renowned organization in the field of scientific research,
  • A unique environment dedicated to ambitious projects addressing major societal challenges,
  • A cutting-edge experience with strong industrial development potential,
